HAPPY JESUS BIRTHDAY!
Current happenings: Greetings from the Colorado high country! “Where there’s plenty of snow and our faces are all aglow….. “ What a wonderful end to 2005. Early this morning I met with our “called to (vocational) ministry” group. I heard story after story of how these college students are sharing their faith with fellow students, family and even professors. And, how many are trusting Christ as a result. Several students shared how the study materials, (which you have helped provide), have assisted them in answering questions from believers and unbelievers alike. Over Christmas, a group will travel to Nashville for more ministry training. Thanks for your faithful prayers for the student ministry.
This week at the ski area one of my fellow instructors pulled me aside and began to ask questions about my life and faith. This friend is in his 50’s, living in open immorality, and is a great guy who needs Jesus. Apparently, his brother-in-law has been sharing with him and now he’s getting a “second opinion”. Please pray that my witness and Bible study at the ski area will be fruitful for
Upcoming events: On New Years Eve, I will once again have the opportunity to pray with over 100 ski instructors before we ski down the mountain in a torchlight parade. Please pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be upon me.
January 3-7, I begin my Doctor of Ministry program at Denver Seminary. There’s still a possibility I’ll start a PhD program next fall, but the Lord hasn’t given us the ok to leave our ministries here yet.
March 1-3, I’ll be helping lead worship at the Beaver Creek, Men’s Bible/ski retreat.
In early April we will hold a week of services in Guthrie, OK. Lord willing, there will be teaching times in San Diego and other preaching opportunities as well. Please let us know if your church would like us to come your way this winter or spring. And of course, our weekly college ministry.
Finances: The Lord continues to faithfully meet and exceed every need. Thank you for partnering with us monthly. As you know, we don’t engage in fund raising activities. We simply share what the Lord is allowing us to do and ask folks to pray. He then provides.
Prayer requests: For safe travel as students go home for Christmas and on various outreaches. For our family as everyone gathers. For my shoulder and knee which may need surgery. And most of all, that Jesus will anoint us with His Holy Spirit as we seek to “know Him and to make Him known.”
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR!
